B-cycle Moves Madison

Madison B-cycle will revolutionize the way you move in the downtown. By the end of the summer, there will be 35 B-cycle stations with 350 bikes throughout Madison’s downtown all within close proximity to wherever you need to go.  Madison B-cycle members will be able to check out a B-cycle at any B-station, ride to where you need to go,  and park it at the closest station to your destination. Need to go somewhere else? Simply check out another B-cycle and start a new trip.

All memberships allow you to check out one bike at a time, and include an unlimited number of bike checkouts in your membership period. The system is designed to encourage short trips by bike, and to do this all trip longer than 30 minutes incur additional usage fees. Want to avoid the usaage fee? Simply  return your B-cycle to a B-station within 30 minutes of checking out and dock it in the station. Once returned, you can check out another bike on the spot and get a fresh 30 minutes of trip time!

Urban bike sharing makes it economical and convenient to use bikes for trips that are too far to walk but too short to drive. As a member, you can use a B-cycle to run an errand, grab lunch, travel from the bus stop to your office, or just explore the city. There are as many reasons to use a B-cycle as there are members!

The B-cycles are specially designed for both you and the city: B-cycles fit people short and tall, thanks to an easy-to-use adjustable seat post. Short or tall, you’ve got stuff, and that’s why there’s a great basket to stow your things while riding. Fenders, skirt guards and chainguards keep your clothes clean. Automatic lights help keep you safe. Three speeds are all one needs for Madison’s terrain.
